Shiatsu
A form of acupressure that stimulates pressure points to rebalance the body. In this old, traditional Japanese healing method the therapist uses the thumbs, fingers, palms, elbows and sometimes the feet. It encourages the flow of energy within the body to relieve tension and promote overall health. This massage is done on a futon with clothes on. Please wear comfortable clothing.
Traditional Thai massage
Thai massage is closely related to yoga and the benefits are similar. Starting at the feet and progressing up to the head, the therapist stimulates pressure points and deeply stretches the body. Thai massage is a powerful technique which aims at re-establishing and releasing free energy flow in the body. This restores balance and creates a sense of well-being and vitality. This massage is done on a futon, so please wear comfortable clothing.
Reflexology
The feet have pressure sensors that connect instantly with the brain, organs and other body parts. Reflexology “maps” display the reflex channels on the feet and hand giving us a mirror image of our internal and external body parts. Reflexologists use these maps to stimulate target reflex areas. The objective is to invoke & stimulate health, wellness and the bodies own healing powers. Reflexology also reduces stress and boosts immune systems. For those who live a high-stress lifestyle or who work on their feet it is the ultimate in relaxation.
Craniosacral therapy
A gentle, hands-on method of evaluating and enhancing the functioning of a physiological body system called the craniosacral system - comprised of the membranes and cerebrospinal fluid that surround and protect the brain and spinal cord. This light touch technique improves functions of the central nervous system, helps relieve stress, increases immunity and harmonizes the emotional and physical bodies by releasing craniosacral energetic blocks. It is recommended to relieve stress and for rebalancing your body. Craniosacral is not a head massage but is a long-standing method of osteopathy. By complementing the body's natural healing processes, craniosacral therapy is increasingly used as a preventive health measure for its ability to bolster resistance to disease, and is effective for a wide range of medical problems associated with pain and dysfunction, including:
• Migraine Headaches
• Chronic Neck and Back Pain
• Motor-Coordination Impairments

Acupressure
Acupressure is an ancient healing art that uses the fingers to press key points on the surface of the skin to stimulate the body's natural self-curative abilities. When these points are pressed, they release muscular tension and promote the circulation of blood and the body's life force energy to aid healing. Acupuncture and acupressure use the same points, but acupuncture employs needles, while acupressure uses gentle but firm pressure. Advantages of using acupressure include relieving pain, balancing the body and maintaining good health. The healing touch of acupressure reduces tension, increases circulation, and enables the body to relax deeply. By relieving stress, acupressure strengthens resistance to disease and promotes wellness.
