Ayurveda means "the science of life" and is about being in harmony with the rhythms of nature. This 5,000-year-old scientific system correlated its findings through the comparison of the human being and the natural world. The physical and mental diagnosis helps identify imbalances in the body and understand what it is trying to correct. Daily habits and rhythms are studied & how they connect to the natural rhythms of nature. Gentle changes that will help alleviate longstanding problems are then prescribed.

Warm oil massages are ancient practices that are deeply therapeutic and luxurious. Abhyanga strenghtens the “qi” energy, life force. It can be performed at any time to reap its benefits or it can be adapted to address imbalances in the body.
During the massage, the long strokes, rhythmic flow and warm oil help sedate the nervous system. Marma points, an Ayurvedic cousin to acupuncture points, are stimulated along energy channels knowns as the “Nadi”’s, the Sanskrit word for “river” as well as “physical body”. The oils are made of medicated or Indian herbs and are specifically chosen to suit the client’s dosha.
Following the massage, the client receives a steam bath. This treatment helps the oil to deeply penetrate so that its benefits are enhanced.
