Yoga is a system of physical postures, mental practices and breathing exercises that originated from Ayurveda, the traditional medical science of India. It is five thousand years old and was designed to bring health and balance to the individual. The word yoga in Sanskrit means “to unite” or “to integrate” and its ultimate purpose is to help each one of us achieve our highest potential and to experience enduring health and happiness.

Yoga is complementary to any exercise program and can also be an effective therapy for many conditions. The regular practice of yoga addresses many issues. Some of which are:

  • better circulation

  • improved functioning of glands, nerves and inner organs

  • tone of muscular system

  • increase in flexibility and joint mobilization

  • biomechanical and structural issues

  • depression and mental issues

  • digestive problems

  • better concentration & focus

  • fibromyalgia & chronic fatigue

  • increased body awareness

Zazen offers yoga in group settings with a maximum of 10 people. It is also offered in private one-on-one sessions. Insurance receipts are available for private sessions.

We want you to get the most out of your classes. To get you started on your yoga path we have created the Zazen Starter Package: 3 private yoga sessions for $120. This is the best way to get introduced to the practice before jumping in to the group class.
